Even before its premiere, the Wavve original series S-Line is igniting international buzz thanks to its provocative premise that boldly explores themes of sexual connection, hidden trauma, and social decay.

Adapted from the webtoon by artist Kkomabi—part of their acclaimed “Trilogy of Death”—S-Line is a fantasy thriller where red threads, dubbed the “S-Line,” visibly connect individuals who have had sexual relations. This visual link sets the foundation for a story that merges psychological tension with social commentary.
The main trailer, released on July 2, opens with Arin (playing high school student Hyun Heup) whispering, “I’ve seen these lines since I was born,” as crimson threads appear between people. As murder and mystery swirl, Lee Soo-hyuk stars as detective Han Ji-wook, who finds himself drawn into a web of strange clues. “I just can’t understand why they killed them,” he mutters, hinting at the darkness behind the S-Line.

A mysterious pair of glasses that lets wearers see these lines becomes a critical tool—and a dangerous one. Hyun Heup warns, “That’s why those glasses are dangerous,” while Lee Da-hee, as Kyu Jin, a high school teacher, urges a colleague to wear them. Meanwhile, Lee Eun-saem portrays Sun-ah, a bullying victim who uncovers disturbing truths upon donning the glasses.

The trailer’s haunting final line—“Can you really be sure of what you saw?”—captures the essence of S-Line: a suspenseful dive into perception, intimacy, and the unknown.
Globally, S-Line has already made waves. It became the first Korean drama to win Best Music at the prestigious Cannes International Series Festival (Canneseries), beating hundreds of entries. Jury members praised its emotionally resonant score as elevating the entire series. The drama also made history as only the third Korean series ever invited to the main competition at Cannes, following Mother (2018) and Bargain (2023).
